2020 MOVEMBER Campaign. Freeze needs a Team Captain to be point to the USAFL

12 Oct 2020 by Mark Fischer

Hi everyone!

The 2020 Movermber campaign is upon us and we are looking to build off the successful 2019 campaign (15 clubs, ~90 Mo-bros & Mo-sisters, 19,000 raised, almost 1000 MOve miles, and some amazing stories, posts and club events held!) and we need your help.

Movember does some amazing work helping fund over 1200 programs worldwide to help tackle men’s health problems and assocaited impacts on their families and friends focsuing on prostate and testicular cancers as well as the increasingly prevalent mental health problems leaing to suicide. The 2020 Movember campaign will be particularly important with mental health issues amplified under the stresses of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2020 USAFL Movember Challenge will build on the great competitive spirit we saw last year elevated with additional sub-challenges and prizes providing even more interest across the USAFL to solidify our support for this critically important cause.

So this is a call to action for all clubs to get involved in the 2020 USAFL Movember Challenge and help tackle men’s health head-on. To do this, we ask for each club to designate a Team Captain who will be the point of contact with the USAFL Movember Challenge team, coordinate their club’s Movember Team and encourage participation across their club.

Please support the 2020 Challenge by assigning your Club Mo-Captain as soon as possible and have them email me at dave.bryant@usafl.com

A reminder how to register as a Movember participant, join your club’s Movember team and join the USAFL Challenge:
Go to www.movember.com and register (or reactive your registration if you have previously participated in Movember) – this takes less than a minute!
Join your club’s Movember team (if your club has not yet created a team, have your Team Captain create via the “Team” menu in the upper right toolbar next to your name)
Join the USAFL Challenge by selecting the “Challenges” menu in the upper right toolbar next to your name, then entering “USAFL” in the search window on the Challenges page.
Start sharing your stories and raising awareness and funds for this important cause!
More information about the 2020 Challenge will be provided to Team Captains shortly, so it is important they are designated as soon as possible. Remember the campaign starts Nov 1st however we will be ramping up our momentum at Virtual Nationals this weekend!

If you have any questions or want more information, please let me know. We can’t wait for a huge USAFL Movember campaign in 2020!!

cheers,
Dave Bryant
